Yesterday I was interviewed by the local paper. I don’t really enjoy my face being in the limelight but truly hope our mission gets heard. With all of the wonderful helpers we have had on this journey (on the sponsors page) with people literally coming out of the woodwork to stand behind us in this venture to take families with special needs out sailing, I am grateful and proud to be on this mission. I am looking forward to our rigger and his family and friends coming out on our shakedown sail soon. We have to finish the anchor roller (welding not done by us), install jib blocks, install hinges and wire us our instruments. A few other minor things and we will be off of the dock! The photos taken remind me a little of glam shots as I am used to pictures taken of me when I am really doing something. Maybe next time we have the paper on board we will actually be sailing, so I will be doing something! Have a beautiful day! I will post the article as soon as I get it!
