Part of the refit has to do with protecting the wood. Wood can take quite a beating in the elements year round. It is good to feed the wood so that it stays happy! The sealer (waterlox) has oil in it, so it nourishes the wood before I put varnish on, this is a 2-3 coat sealer and a 2 coat varnish process. Whew! I sure am glad we removed the teak deck and put non skid!
